Great news! The Ontario Library Association is coming to do mock-interviews at FIMS this Wednesday, February 26, 2014! This is a great opportunity for those of you who are about to interview for co-op positions, or for those of you just interested in interviewing experience. I participated as an interviewee last semester and it was so helpful, with the interviewers giving constructive criticism after the mock-interview. It is definitely a great opportunity for growth, and personal improvement.
If you are interested, please get back to Skye (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible (first come first serve, and there are only a limited number of spaces) with the following:
1. Your preference for academic or public library “interview.”
2. Your Resume and Cover Letter, tailored to the Academic Mock Job Posting or Public Library Mock Job Posting
3. Your preference for a morning or afternoon interview time-slot.
Deadline to submit the above information: Sunday, February 23, 2014 at midnight. (We need to get the resumes and cover letters to the interviewers in sufficient time so they can review them.)
Please note: We will be charging $5/person to help off-set the cost of thank-you gifts for the interviewers (they are doing this for free!) Please find either Annick or another CAPAL executive member, or Skye or another SLACYS executive member to give your $5 to.
